OK - now it seems to suddenly be working. I did the same thing I did before, so I'm gue4ssing it was some sort of snafu, maybe since I haven't posted in some years. But whatever - here are the pics:
oel - I have done all that. My uploaded images are 640 x 480 and hosted on postimage. I followed all the instructions on this site and the Priview still does not show images. I run a Web store and am familiar with Photoshop, my pictures are good. I'm not sure what's wrong. I appreciate your trying t...
oel - The link you posted was to a page with Dutch silver marks. I'm not sure what relevance this has to my question about Russian gold marks. Please clarify.
Can someone help me with the marks on this Russian malachite brooch and earrings? The marks on the brooch are clear to read, but I can't make out any of the marks on the earring wires. Thanks so much.
Can someone please help me with the hallmarks on this heart shaped perfume bottle? I think it's Birmingham, but cannot make sense of the "P's" mark at 12 o'clock, and the funny letter, maybe a "Q" (?) at 3 o'clock. the piece measures 3" tall, 2 1/4" wide, and 3/4" ...
I believe this was made by 'William Dunningham & Co', but I'm wondering why it does not have a full set of hallmarks. The "W D & Co.", "s" in a diamond, and "925" are all their is. I have two similar cups with only these markings, although the "925" di...
Thanks so much. So I am thinking the back of the spoon likely pictures the father, the son, and the holy ghost (the owl). That would make sense, but what significance is 1511? Hmmm...
And any ideas about a date for this piece? And what was a spoon like this used for, or was it used at all?
I'm hoping someone can help me with a date on this piece, and also with some insight into the inscription and images on the back of the bowl. Inside the bowl is an engraved Madonna with the Christ Child... hand engraved I think. On the back of the bowl there is a seated figure whose hat is surmounte...
Thanks so much, I thought the last of the four marks looked kind of like a cat, or maybe a script "s". Oh well. I would have guessed '20's or '30's anyway, although they really do have a wonderfully modern look. Thanks again. .
I need some help with the marks on this. 9K I know, but are the other two marks British assay and possibly a date mark? And the maker H. G & S? Thanks so much. http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv187/marnski101/Marks.jpg http://i682.photobucket.com/albums/vv187/marnski101/Hero.jpg .
Does anybody have any idea about the "P"? And if they're British, I would think the "P" would be a date mark... but then there would be an assay mark, no? And there are no other marks at all. Seems strange.
I've got these great looking links that I was told were French, and I'm hoping somebody can help me with the marks. I'm hoping you can see them in the pics, but if not, there is a diamond with "15" in it, then a rectangle with "CT", followed by a square with a "P". I'd ...
Can somebody help me ID the marks on this this condiment set? Maker? Date? Thanks so much. http://www.williamsadler.com/marnski/CondimentSet/Hero.JPG http://www.williamsadler.com/marnski/CondimentSet/BottlesOut.JPG http://www.williamsadler.com/marnski/CondimentSet/Mark.JPG
I recently acquired a gold watch chain with what I think is a fob attached as a pendant. The Fob looks to me to have 'Eastern' or 'Islamic' design elements, and has two hallmarks. I cannot seem to get a good close picture of the marks themselves, but have drawn them as they appear under an engravers...
