From what I can tell, there is a little "blob" between and below the crossed keys, and all in a shield (not quite a rhombus). This is vexing, for sure.

And so you think it is Italian and circa 1815? Papal States?

Hello folks, this sad British Georgian cup has had all of its hallmarks (on the body) rubbed off completely. All that is left is this hallmark on the handle.
