Re: silver plate mark

Here a CC-in-Crown is shown to be Carl F. Christiansen Copenhagen 1943-1963: https://www.925-1000.com/denmarkC.html And there’s a ancient thread on this topic emphatically denying any use by Cohr. Given that it is seen coupled to a known Cohr mark (linked above), any new conclusions on a relationship?

Re: Need help with danish marks

Looks like one of the marks could be the “N.S” mark posted by Fishless which was combined with two towers and an unknown device (which raises its’ own questions): https://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopi ... rks#p63362

Re: Need help with danish marks

Assuming everything is correct, this might help with dating…scroll down and find Cohr began plet production in 1921 but did not apply the ATLA mark until 1926, and that two tower was (failed?) out by 1929: https://www.silvercollection.it/DICTION ... NMARK.HTML

Re: Need help with danish marks

This pattern also comes up as a three tower solid silver product with at least one dating of 1926 assayance. Having the known pattern name yields a greater variety of posted pieces to this set.

Re: Need help with danish marks

A bit of searching found a site with pattern names…”Louise” seems to match the image corresponding to your posting. Indeed, a search of Cohr Atla in general confirms this style was produced by them, but it seems to be in rather low quantities as singular samples or small groups. Maybe just older, ea...

Re: Need help with danish marks

Rules are rules, so no disagreement over that. But for now, if these are all variants related to COHR plet production, then this might be an amazing key grouping given the singular pattern all tied together by the two towers mark. In the 8 samples there are differences in the towers but also similar...

Re: Danish Silverplate Marks for the website

A newly posted group of variant marks from a singular service set of one pattern, all of which might link to COHR product in pleet/plet/plate (numerous marks with two tower variants in each case):

Transitional Maker (?): ACE Guadalajara

This buckle by “ACE” is graded 0900-in-rectangle, but matches the same marking style used on a similar one (current listing) graded 925. [Most of these buckles are being described as Sterling with 18K Gold, but there are no applied grading marks for the yellow metal applications. This looks suspicio...

Re: Spoon: DOHRCO PIONEER topmarked LA PALMA

A recent find of a poorly identified photo on Calisphere has raised another remote possibility of the La Palm Patio cafeteria which turned out to be located at 615 S. Grand Avenue in dowtown Los Angeles around 1936. The building itself was dated back to circa 1926 but there is no clear evidence of w...

Re: Antique German Bavarian Salt Cellar Date?

There are no easy “go to’s” on these Hanau mark combinations. However, in the following thread you can find a very good explanation of the familial relationship of two possible “usual suspects” firms. Going deeper via Trev’s link in there is one of the other firms using their mark along with a diffe...
