I have not done Any acid tests but this piece seems to be some quantity of good silver based on color, smell, and sound of the piece. Does this marking mean anything? Small plate I have has this mark. Not sure what to make of it. I'm guessing world silverplate?

Looks like metal from November 29, 1877. Any way to find manufacturers? Or is it just a matter of makers mark somewhere else on the piece I guess. Thanks again!
