don't know if this helps any but Morup is a Danish name (or at least a danish design house of the 20th century) but that looks like a stylised letter D next to it then it could be the Dutch dating code for 1888, so maybe you may want to try on the Dutch or the Danish forums for a little more info? Those are the Birmingham Assay marks from 1900-1949 - the Capital letters were used from 1925, so this would put this squarely at 1930, around the art deco period
