Thanks! I think that the 'fake' is fairly often seen on eBay and ALVR do not seem to have any thimbles at the moment.

I still wonder whether any other real Faberge thimbles are around some where?

The maker is Justin Levy Aleken of 60 rue Turbigo (1882-1893).
