That's fine Trev, So we are saying its 1940's and from Dublin and makers Segal & Son. Thank you very much, Will add it to my collection of finds with a note with it. Great forum for future reference, I'm sure I will be back to test you guys, if not to correct me ;-] Thanks again for your help Mark

Hi Guys, I found this item whiles with a friend who was doing some metal detecting and I think I have the year right as the 1820's due to the capital E and the other symbol from dublin.
