Re: Possible hallmark on french opisometer ...

Oops nevermind ... sorry :) After some more googling, it is apparent that is the "logo" in the shape of the opisometers and other instruments made by that company, which does appear to be named Henri Chatelain :)

Re: Identification for watch silvermarks

Thaaaaaaank you :) That's stellar info, and explains all those parts wonderfully ! Re: Identification for watch silvermarks

Ahh ... it *does* look like the Swiss grouse mark. Thank you ! Here is a better image containing the marking on the right: http://www.flickr.com/photos/95263907@N02/8776122075/ So thus far, it's a Swiss grouse mark on the left, then am I correct in seeing a crown/crescent with the 0,800 ? It also ap...

Re: Identification for watch silvermarks

viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2958&p=5298&hilit=remontoir#p5298

I didn't mean to start a new thread :) Hope my opening post makes more sense now as to what I was referencing lol. Thanks :)

Identification for watch silvermarks

*Bump* First post, so hi :) I was needing some help with the following, and found this thread that had a similar mark as what I need help with, so I thought I'd just add to the thread instead of starting a new thread. I have an old ladies pocket watch which says Remontoir Cylindre on the backside of...
