This is a huge smooth amber stone. it is set in a sterling setting, with interesting floral accents, that look scandinavian. on the back outside of the shank are three small hallmarks. I looked on the date key list here, but didn't see one that matches the mark. I can't imagine it is very old, as it's also marked sterling. though maybe the sterling mark was added later? also, i assume these were sweater or (permanent) dress clips, unless you think they might be something different...
