Hi everyone I have recently bought a little pill pot and when I say little, well I mean very little. Not even sure what you would keep in it to tell the truth. It is only just bigger than a pill. But the hallmarks interested me and I have had a look but I can’t find any similar online. I would be gr...

Hi everyone I recently bought a brooch that i thought was French silver. I saw the diamond shaped mark and what a assumed was the boars head. On further inspection i realise it isn’t silver but i cant seem to recognise the marks to make out what it is. The diamond shape looks like it has S at the to...

Can anyone identify an unusual hallmark London?

Hi I have an unusual hallmark on a knife. I have a suspicion it may have been made out of another piece as it has a hallmark on it I can't find. It has very clear London hallmarks for 1991 and at the side another hallmark of three crowns. Could this have been on an original piece but would the asset...

Confused about date on piece of London silver bracelet

Hi everyone I would appreciate some help with a piece I bought recently which I thought was Victorian. It is bar gate (I believe they are known as) bracelet and has a padlock clasp. All very straightforward. The padlock is hallmarked birmingham 1899 but the coins in the bracelet are 1937 and 1940. O...

Re: Mystery mixture of hallmarks

That's brilliant. I have looked at that but it never registered. It just didn't make sense not to have any of the other control marks on it, but I am really happy to know where it is from. It doesn't help that some marks seem to have no detail on them at all when others do. Would you know if city ma...

Has anyone seen any...
