Looks japanese - the characters are similar to 2 of the 4 in the 'jungin' mark - see main list

Looks a lot like the Japanese jungin 'pure silver' mark - see under Japanese marks in main listing. Characters are just arranged differently. SM marks for a Western retailer?

Can anyone help with these Chinese marks?
Marks on the back of a high-carat gold and jadeite ring. Maker's mark is 'WF' imitating British and American marks of the period. Any idea who 'WF' is?
