Persian silver marks

Anyone able to ID the marks on this silver box bought recently at a local auction. The right mark is Farsi 84 indicating .875, I thought it may be an Isfahan piece but can't match the marks. http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z475/15121990/silverforum/Persian%20Box/th_Image1_zps6pijeozo.jpg http://...

Re: small Dutch dish

Many thanks Trev, is the axe mark indicative of it being sold on the Dutch market?

small Dutch dish

Can anyone help date and ID the maker on this small dish? It has the axe mark for old silver broght back into circulation between 1853 and 1927.

Re: help identifying town mark

Hi Trev,

Many thanks, I was fixated on a completely different line, it's amazing how the eye sees incorrect things in a worn mark.

Re: Unknown maker

Thanks Trev, helpful as always. I'd seen a ref to D but couldn't find anything specific for the H stamp. We're a lawless lot up here :-)

Unknown maker

Hi, Recently acquired this Dundee toddy ladle, any ideas on possible maker? Could the H be the maker's mark and not a date mark? http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z475/15121990/silverforum/ladle/th_DSC_0144a_zps686b1f9e.jpg http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z475/15121990/silverforum/ladle/th_DSC...

Re: Help with town mark

Hi, No, not Cupar. It's an Edinburgh ladle by George Fenwick, assayed in 1812. Fenwick's working period was around 1800 until 1824. From c.1800 to c.1807 he was in partnership with George McHattie as McHattie & Fenwick, and then alone until he took the position of Joint Assay Master with John Z...

Your images are far too small to be seen. Try posting a much larger embedded image of, at least, the marks.

Trev.
Apologies, Here's a thumbnail to closer views of the hallmark..

Help with town mark

I think this toddy ladle is Scottish provincial but can't pin it down, possibly Cupar, any help in identifying would be appreciated. Re: any idea on this silver ? mark ?

Thanks for the confirmation. It was bought at a small local auction house here (Scotland) 2 weeks ago. It was pretty dirty and tarnished but has come up well with a little TLC. I suspect the auctioneer wasn't up to speed on Danish silver marks.

Re: any idea on this silver ? mark ?

Links to images as requested. It's a match case/striker, similar to the UK Vesta case. I bought this at auction recently described a "white metal" http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z475/15121990/match%20case/DSC01451.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://i11...
