I wanted to give this thread an update for further reference. I recently discovered that the "V in a C" mark on this brooch is that of Mexican designer Victor Carranza. Carranza started producing jewelry for Tiffany in 1986. I'm not sure if he is still doing so, but I believe his early wor...
First things first, the mark you see in the center of this pin is the same markings it has on it's sides. If you view it where your mark picture is upside down (behind the water carrier with him standing upright) you'll see that it just says "STERLING MEXICO". That being said, the maker of...
Beautiful marcasite sterling art deco (in design at least) bracelet signed CW. I couldn't find this signature in the database. There were a lot of marcasite deco repros in the 80s... this one may or may not be a 30s piece. I have seen the CW mark *many* times, mostly on newer jewelry and bracelets....

I bought this silver cup at a local flea market a few months ago, knowing it was some sort of European silver I've never encountered before. It turns out it's Austro-Hungarian. The lower Diana's head hallmark is either the 1867-1872 one or the 1872-1922 one (it's hard to tell). It's hallmarked "...
