Need help with dating a silver pocket watch case
Hello
I bought last year a silver pocket watch. It has a Chester Hallmarks.
Can anyone help me in dating the silver case?
I see letter B on the shield with straight lines, which means 1727,
but letter B on the French-type shield means 1902.

Re: Help with that hallmark
Case solved.
The sponsor initials A&K belonged to Allen & Kingfield, Manchester, they went into The Birmingham Assay Office archives in 2008.
The second mark is a ‘International Convention Mark’ this is the scales with a 375 inside.
Date letters became optional after 1999 so any item hallmarked in ...

Re: Help with that hallmark
I`ve found that marker`s mark AK means: Abraham Kemp. He was a gold ring maker. Date of Registration at The Birmingham Assay Office 05/01/1842.
On that ring is "A&K" but Abraham Kemp mark was "A*K" so I don`t know that is right what I`m thinking.
