This mark is on the back of a cast tag that came off of a very old shipping crate, which I believe to be an ore box. Above the mark is embossed: PAT. OCT. 28 1876. The tag is 5" wide and weighs 1/4#. Could this mark be a silver company? Thanks. Tom http://newcitypics.com/Miscellaneous/ore%20box...
