Re: Who knows this makersmark

Thanks a lot Oel,

Stupid me, I couldn’t find the correct signature ((upside down).
Now I see it's registered under the number M 62636.

I've looked cross-eyed. :)

Re: Please information Hallmarks

Hi Sparrow, Perhaps a photo of the whole object could be helpful and are you sure the object is made out of silver and are there any standard marks to indicate silver fineness? Regards, Oel Fleur-de-Lys --> LL= Louis XIV --> French --> Speudo hallmarks ??? http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/7636/im...

Re: Can anybody help to identify these hallmarks

Does anyone have an idea what year this might be?
It is not clear to me, because the pseudo hallmarks of Hanau have no specification
I hope someone can tell me more about it.

Many thanks Theoderich, very fast. Excellent
And do you know how they call that spoon in English or German?
In the Netherlands they call it a " Breilepel". Could this be in Germany a breilöffel ??? :)

For clarity of the hallmarks.
The maker's mark is CA.
The year mark (I believe) is A
Unfortunately, the other pictures not very clear

Re: Can anybody help to identify these hallmarks

Okay I agree that it is Hanau. I want to thank you for your cooperation. I've bought it at a flea market for 2 euros. Not bad for this price. When I see what is asked for Hanau silver on eBay.com.
Using the translator of Google, it's a lot easier. :)

Re: Can anybody help to identify these hallmarks

Thank you very much Theoderich But i have believe that these are the original hallmarks, because they are a little bit diferent as the fake (Pseudo) hallmarks of Hanau. I found this: The term pseudo hallmark is conventionally used for 18th, 19th and early 20th century marks which either resemble mar...
