hi could somone help me again with this makers name on this watch chain please i have tried everywhere but cannot find this persons name ,i have worked out all the rest of the makings as birmingham 1898 ...sorry but my picture is not the greatest but the makers mark is J S FOLLOWED BY A STAR ???? ht...

Hello and welcome. That silverplate mark was used by Albert J. Beardshaw & Company, Sheffield, England (1863-1951). The 9 you have drawn in the shield after Co is actually an S that stands for Sheffield. Pat. pat thanks alot for your help , terrific site this ...will be using it again if i need...

HI, I HAVE CHECKED THIS SILVER SPOON OUT OVER AND OVER AGAIN ON YOUR SITE AND OTHERS ...I AM HOPING THAT IT IS AN ELIAS PELLETREAU 1777 APPROX ...I HAVE POSTED 2 PHOTOS BUT I CANNOT GET THE PHOTO RIGHT WITH OR WITHOUT THE FLASH SO I COPIED IT TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY AND POSTED WHATS ON THE SPOON, ...
