9 1/2 means the height of the pitcher.

So he last question is, what does H.P. means ?

Some answers I found....

Reed & Barton is the so called "Initial Mark" and its more common than the "Pictorial Mark"

#758 seems to be the pattern number

9 1/2 declaration of size or volume ???

H.P. no idea what this means, could it be the initials of the silversmith who made it ???
