Thank you.
I'm giving you a photo of Polotsk, maybe you don't have a photo of such stamps in your collection.

Hello! The hallmarks on the cross are certainly fake.
P.S.: There has never been an assay office in the city of Polotsk.

@Solo

Like Mart says... not Polotzk. The town punch is Mogilev (or Vitebsk?). The assayer is BP 1821-? Unfortunately he is unknown to name to me, If someone knows his name (and location), please tell it, thank you. Anyway, what caught my eyes is that there is no maker's mark! That would indicate import, but....? If there, however, is a maker's mark, please Solo show it too thank you.

The city of Vitebsk. Perhaps we can see a part of the erased silversmith's nameplate on the left side of the second piece.

Your'r wellcome. John : The Assay Master of the Vitebsk Assay Office, the Jew Wulf Rosett, was appointed after training at the Moscow Assay Office in 1819. The first Vitebsk Assay Office hallmarks were made at the St. Petersburg Mint for 1820.

Hi Dad!
Thank you very much for the interesting information! One more question: how long did Wulf Rosett work in Vitebsk? Was he replaced by Stepan Polyakov or someone else?

Yes. Rosett was an Assay Master at the Vitebsk Assay Office until 1844. Until Polyakov. True, with a short break.

Hi Dad!
Thank you very much again!
My question was prompted by the presence of an unattributed hallmark from 1831 with the initials of the assay master ?.Г. Vitebsk or Mogilev?
Regards. Alex.

You're welcome!
Unfortunately, I do not know the exact date, but at least in 1838 there are already stamps of the assaymaker "ЯК".
