Help Date Frank M. Whiting 15” Sterling Vase?

Post by CarolinaCollectors »

I believe the Mark shows the Vase to be made by Frank M. Whiting & Co. of North Attleboro, Mass. Most sources say that the Mark was only used by Frank M. Whiting from 1896 through the company’s end in 1940 (although another source says it ended in 1924?). I do not know what the numbers below the Mark mean.

Can anyone help with the dating of this 15 ½” tall Vase?? Thank you for your interest.

Jim

All I can tell you is that the The Jeweler's Index of 1922 and 1934 both show this mark for Frank M. Whiting & Company.

Pat,

Thank you for your very prompt effort to help. You've given me a new source to check in the future. All the best.
