A possible Lost Smallworkers Register entry .
11 January 1758
William Wooden London Goldsmith took Richard Dipple son of Thomas Dipple of Boomsgrove in the County of Worcester Malster as apprentice.
It is presumed that William Wooden was of the Company of Goldsmiths, although it is possible that he was Broderer who worked as a goldsmith -see below for the reasons for the doubt. But as Thomas Dipple was free of the Goldsmiths it seem likely that William Wooden was a member of the Goldsmiths' Company .
26 March 1760
Richard Dipple by his own consent and the consent of Mary Wooden Executrix of William Wooden turned over to John Wooden London Broderer of the same trade. Almost certainly William Wooden had died and Mary was his widow . No record of his will at PCC
4 September 1763
Richard Dipple of the Parish of Saint Ann & Agnes Batchelor married Elizabeth Wooden of the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch spinster at Saint Leonard Shoreditch. Probably the very familiar story of the apprentice marrying the Masters daughter. Whether from love, desire of advancement or necessity we shall never know !
1765
Richard Dipple was made free of the Goldsmiths .
1821
Thomas son of Richard Dipple London Goldsmith free in the Company of Goldsmiths by Patrimony.
