I'm struggling with these hallmarks !

I have a set of teaspoons (2 broken) with hallmarks I can't identify.
I think it may be London with the date 1729 - but the maker's mark I can't find anywhere.
I'd be grateful for any information.

Hi,
I`d say London 1829. For ``WE`` makers take a look here:

Thank you - good to have the date clarified. The WE maker's mark is still a puzzle 'tho.
Oh well, that's given me a great start.

Not London marks at all (at least I'm pretty sure they aren't). These appear to be pseudo-marks, possibly originating in China. The maker has made a valiant attempt at reproducing the London marks but there are just too many things wrong with it. The lop-sided leopard's head, the crude lion passant and the sketchy duty mark together with some wrong punch shapes are all indicative of a pseudo-mark.
I'm not sure whether we have seen this particular mark before and a quick search through our topics doesn't reveal anything.

OK noted - thank you for the input.
I'll be guarded in any information I provide about these spoons.

Hello again,
I stand corrected, did not pay attention to every detail, but at first sight......except for obvious duty mark.
Genuine set of 1829 marks (top) to compare with.
