ELLIS, Benjamin (Grimwade p.289)

He was christened the son of Edward and Sarah Ellis of Ditch Side at St Sepulchre, Holborn in 1698.
He was apprenticed to Thomas Nicholls of the Skinners Company in 1713 and made free in 1720.
Grimwade records he entered a mark at some time from 1720-32 as a free Skinner from Golden Cup, Carey Lane, possibly as a case maker.
The burial of a Benjamin Ellis, late of the Workhouse, registered at St Sepulchre in 1740 may be relevant.
