Children of Samuel and Elizabeth Edlin were christened and buried at St Andrew Undershaft or St Katherine Cree from 1707-17.
William Paine of London in 1704, Thomas Bullmer of London in 1706, Samuel Nicholl of Barking, Essex (Grimwade p.607) in 1714, George Medley (Grimwade p.594) in 1724 and Charles Pickering (Grimwade p.623) of London in 1729 all signed indentures to be his apprentices.
Heal recorded Edlin at Wood Street from 1724-7; Land Tax assessments reveal he was there from 1721-30. He was listed in a Poll Book of 1722 at Wood Street but entitled to vote in Burnham Hundred, part of Amersham, Buckinghamshire.
His son Wellford was apprenticed to William Paradise (Grimwade p.613-4) in 1730.
Land Tax assessments show he was at Prujean Court, Old Bailey from 1733-9 rather than just 1734 as Heal recorded.
The Will of Samuel Edlin, goldsmith late of London, was proved for probate on 3rd April 1746 (National Archives reference PROB 11/746/134).
