Swiss silver watches?

Post by tyvm30 »

guys, please kindly give some help, i have 2 watches very similar, but don't know much about them.

1.i guess Swiss watches with 0.800 and 0.935, as one has a grouse mark, another has a bear mark.
2.how to identify the date? i did some search only narrow to 1880-1907.
3.what is the makers mark? i tried but can't find any info relative...

Hi,

Maker is Etienne Varin of Fontenais, Switzerland. The 'Saturn' mark was registered in 1887.

THANKS Trev

as i wonder, the mark image is bit different form 1887 registed mark, does it means this watch case was produced later than 1887? where the mark changed?
