Assessments to Land Tax were made on Benjamin Bradberry, Bradbury or Breadway on property in Rose & Crown Court, Moorfields from 1761-1808. The period over which assessments were made suggests at least two generations with the same name occupied the property particularly as a marriage of a Benjamin Bradberry had been recorded in 1758.
Benjamin Bradberry had entered a mark in 1799 at Goldsmiths’ Hall as a case maker from this address. The christening of Robert, the son of Benjamin and Elizabeth Bradberry, was registered at St James, Clerkenwell in 1801.
The marriage of bachelor Benjamin Bradberry to Elizabeth Hodges was registered in 1806 at St John, Hackney.
The property at Rose & Crown Court was empty in 1809.
