BIRD, Thomas (Grimwade p.284)

He may have been Thomas the son of William Bird a hardware man of Strand, London who was apprenticed to George Cowler of the Goldsmiths Company and made free in 1798.
He entered a mark in 1802 at Goldsmiths’ Hall as a small worker from 15 Beaufort Buildings, Strand.
Thomas Bird of the Goldsmiths Company and of Salisbury Court, Fleet Street took John Scarrett as an apprentice in 1807 and as a merchant from Throgmorton Street took on apprentice William Davenport of Stafford in 1820.
