He was christened in 1728, the son of Isaak and Mary Tokett of Salisbury, Wiltshire.
Three children of Marmaduke and Mary Tokett, were christened at St James Westminster, London between 1758 and 1761 and another daughter at St Anne, Soho in 1763.
Last mentioned by Grimwade at Wardour Street, Soho in the 1773 Parliamentary Report he was listed in the 1780 London Poll Book as a goldworker in Bentinck Street, Soho.
The burial of a person of the name was recorded in 1784 at St James, Piccadilly without detail of age or last address. The Will of Marmaduke Tokett of St James’s was proved for probate on 1st December 1784 (National Archives reference PROB 11/1124/72). Both records are probably relevant.
