RICCARD, William (Grimwade p.641)

He was assessed as William Riccards to Land Tax in 1767 on property in Orange Court, Castle Street.
He was listed in the 1784 London Poll Book as a cutler from Castle Street, Leicester Square whereas Heal recorded him from that address as a goldsmith and jeweller from 1774-93.
No other information has been found for him.

It is possible that he retired to, or lived at, Brompton Park and that the following will proved at PCC on 29 November 1786 was his.

1 July 1777 William Riccard and William Littlefear Saint Martin's in the Fields in Middlesex Cutlers paid apprentice indenture duty for George Price.

The Castle Street location and William Riccard's stock in trade as well as his partner William Littlefear are mentioned in this will, so it is correct.
