The christening record for his son Daniel at St Dunstan and All Saints, Stepney in 1723 notes his father was a silversmith and his mother's name as Elizabeth.
Another son Christopher for whom no christening record has been found was apprenticed to a "Wyer Drawer" in 1732. His father is shown on the indentures as a silversmith at Frying Pan Alley, Spitalfields.
