Michael Ballard Lee was born in London around 1794.
He married Mary Lockett at St Bride, Fleet Street in 1818; both were from that parish.
The christening record for a daughter at St Martin in the Fields in 1819 shows their address as 5 (Bucking ?)Hound Street.
Christening records for two sons at St Martin in 1821-2 show their address as 6 Charles Court.
He entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1825 as a gold worker from 5 Hungerford Piazza, Strand.
Christening records for three of their children at St Martin from 1825-8 show their address as Hungerford Market.
All christening records show Michael as a jeweller.
Nothing further has been found for him until 1861 when he appears on the UK Census as a jeweller aged 67 years living alone at 155 Oxford Street, Chorlton upon Medlock Lancashire.
His death was registered in Altrincham, Cheshire in 1868.
