Goldworkers List (Section VII).

He entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1823 as a gold worker from Gee Street.
He married Harriet Maxwell at St James, Clerkenwell in 1826; both were from that parish.
Another mark was entered in 1826 from 18 Percival Street, Clerkenwell and he notified a change to number 37 in 1828 and 1836.
Seven of their children were christened at St James’ between 1827 and 1836, all showing the Percival Street address and their father either a jeweller or goldsmith.
The 1841 UK Census recorded his wife Harriett as the jeweller at Percival Street. No trace of James has been found.
