She was the widow of John Dearmer II (Grimwade p.301).
She had been assessed to Land Tax on property at Featherstone Street, Bunhill Row from 1798 and her husband assessed there until 1793. The Land Tax records for 1794-97 have not been found.
She entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1798 as a watch case maker and 1800 as a case maker both from 14 Featherstone Street, continuing to pay the Land Tax there until 1816 at which time she presumably retired.
The burial record at St Luke, Finsbury in 1829 for a Mary Dearmer aged 77 years, late of St Leonard’s parish, Shoreditch is probably relevant.
