WEBSTER, Samuel II (Grimwade p.695)

Post by MCB »

The christening record of Priscilla daughter of Samuel and Phillis Webster at St Andrew, Holborn in 1810 shows her father as a silversmith from St Sepulchre parish.
The christening record of another daughter Jane at the same church in 1813 again shows her father as a silversmith this time from Clerkenwell.
He entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1826 as a spoon maker from 33 Aylesbury Street, Clerkenwell.
The burial of Phillis Webster aged 71 years, late of Wilmington Street, was recorded at St James, Pentonville in 1840.
The 1841 UK Census for Wilmington Street, Clerkenwell recorded him aged 63 years still a silversmith.
The 1851 UK Census recorded him in the same occupation at St John Street Road, Clerkenwell.
His burial in 1855 was recorded at St Andrew, Holborn aged about 80 years; his last address was St John Street Road.
