The christening record in 1827 at St James, Clerkenwell of Mary Ann, daughter of James and Jane Vale shows their address as Queen Street and his occupation as a silversmith.
The christening record in 1829 at St Pancras, Camden of their son William shows their address as Wingrove Place, Clerkenwell and his father as a goldsmith.
His first and only maker’s mark as a gold and silver worker was registered at Goldsmiths Hall from Bennett Street, Fitzroy Square in 1836.
No further information has yet been traced.
