Thomas, son of Job and Elizabeth, was christened at St Nicholas, Cole Abbey in 1694.
He married Alice Dennis at All Hallows, Lombard Street in 1716.
Christenings of 8 children of Thomas and Alice are recorded at St Nicholas, Cole Abbey (now situated on Queen Victoria Street, London) 1717-34.
Indentures were signed in 1722 for Martin, son of Martin Richards of London, to be his apprentice.
None of the children christened in the above records was named Robert; this and the many records over the long period at St Nicholas suggest that the speculation on page 758 of Grimwade’s book of Thomas being the father of Robert Makepeace I (Grimwade p.589, 758) seems less likely.
The burial of a Thomas Makepeace is recorded in 1745 at St Nicholas, Cole Abbey; no age or last address is shown on this record.
