There is a christening record at St Dunstan in the West in 1701 for John son of Michael and Mary Gamon. The notes suggest the service was held in Fleete Streete (sic) which was presumably his parents’ address.
Grimwade speculates that Michael Gamon, goldworker of 3 Paul’s Court (Grimwade p.374) was the son of John Gamon. There is confirmation in the christening record of 1737 at St Mary Staining showing his parents were John and Dinah and in the Indentures signed personally in 1751 by Michael son of John Gamon (deceased), goldsmith of St Mary Staining to be the apprentice of John Ruffin, goldsmith.
