20 March 1837 George Melville Horton Batchelor of the Parish of Saint (Andrew?) Holborn in the County of Middlesex married Eliza Avery Spinster of the Parish of Saint Peter and Paul Aston Birmingham at Saint Peter and Paul.
1841 UK Census George Horton aged 35 years Wholesale Jeweler listed at Highgate Bordesely Parish of Aston Birmingham. Two year old daughter Eliza A Horton not born in Warwickwickshire.
1851 UK Census George Melville Horton aged 48 years Factor General listed at 100 Hatton Garden. Twelve year old daughter Eliza born at Hatton Garden.
(Probably deceased by 1861)

10 March 1841 George Melville son of George Horton late of Birmingham Gentleman deceased occupying premises in No. 36 Ludgate Street in the Parish of Saint Martin carrying on the business of a Jeweller made free in the Company of Spectacle Makers by redemption.
