Likely to have been in partnership with Thomas Merrifield as
'Mitchell & Merrifield - Silversmiths & Water Gilders - 23, Kingsmead Terrace, Bath.' c.1848

Currently, I'm not in a position to do much looking into this gentleman, but I can say that there is a notation in the 1851 census for Lucy Mitchell widow in Walcot that mentions that her former husband was a silversmith. Lucy was the name of Thomas Mitchell's wife in the 1841 census.
