The 1841 UK Census for King Street, Islington shows William Weston aged 75 years and wife Ann aged 70 years living next door to Charles Weston (Grimwade p.697). William is shown of independent means but may well have been the silversmith who registered the 1822 mark from the King Street address and the father not the brother of Charles Weston as Grimwade supposed.
An account of the 1821 trial for forgery of William Weston can be accessed through Articles on Silver in the Forum Library.
Died 1845.
