Born 1786.
1841 UK Census for Selhurst Road, Croydon as a silversmith aged 60 years (giving a correct age is a common problem).
1851 UK Census for 285 Windmill Road, Croydon as a retired silversmith aged 67 years (see above).
1861 UK Census for Hope Cottage, Croydon as a retired silversmith aged 75 years.
Died 1866.
England & Wales Deaths & Burials Index 1813-1980 shows burial at Norwood dated 19th February 1866 aged 81 years. Last address Hope Cottage.
England & Wales National Probate Calendar for 19th April 1866 shows his effects as less than £450.
