26 September 1786- Entered mark as bucklemaker at 2, Winsor Court, Monkwell Street then moved to 25, Chapel Street, Pentonville.

London Gazette 13333 of 13th August 1791 reports the bankruptcy of
Thomas Kirkham of Chapel Street, Pentonville , Silver Buckle Maker, Dealer and Chapman

London Gazette 13377 of 7 January 1792 reports that his certicate in bankruptcy will be allowed if no objection by 31st January 1792 .
Dividends were declared , notice of further dividend being announced in June 1792

20 January 1792 Goldsmiths Hall records his move to Butcher Hall Lane
He's back in business again !

11 February 1793 Goldsmiths Hall records his move to 7, Andersons Buildings, City Road
Heal gives Thomas Kirkham, silver bucklemaker as Monkwell Street in 1793 which seems inconsistant with the above.

NOTE
Bridewell Royal Hospital: Minutes of the Court of Governors on 6th July 1792 report
"At this Court Thomas Kirkham late apprentice to Edward Owen was ordered to be made free of this City and that the Fees due thereon be paid by the Steward of this Hospital. "

This is unlikely to relate as no other apprentices of Edward Owen, Broad Weaver via the Bridewell seem to be silversmiths and Owens will, proved at PCC on 24th January 1799 , describes him as Edward Owen, Weaver of Bridewell Hospital , City of London. Also the dates for Kirkham seem too late.
However there was a silver bucklemaker Edward Owen who Grimwade records (p.389) as entering a mark at 16, Ealey Place Holborn in 1787. Virtually nothing else is know about Owen, except that he made buckles of unusual designs. Co-incidence ?
