FARR, John of Bristol (Grimwade p.718)

John Farr of Bristol’s London smallworkers mark of 3rd January 1784 has a characteristic diamond shaped pellet. This is not clear on the Grimwade No 3406 illustration, but is very distinctive on the actual register copy.

1791 John Farr Silversmith Tower Lane, Bristol listed in the Universal British Directory of Trade, Commerce and Manufacture.
21 January 1797 John Farr City of Bristol Goldsmith paid apprentice indenture duty for Charles Morgan.

Notice is hereby given, that the partnership lately subsisting between us the undersigned John Farr and Thomas Farr, of the city of Bristol, silversmiths, is this Day dissolved by mutual consent; and the said John Farr is duly authorised to pay all such Debts and to receive all such as are due or owing to the said late Copartnership. - Dated this 23rd Day of June 1810.
