Hi,
This is a 13 piece set of pre-1940's dessert spoons. They are marked" Sterling, PAT.1895, 925 and have a hallmark as shown in the images. The bowl is faceted and has a gold wash that is marked "1000" or "0001" Please help me ID this set. Thanks,
Dick Ely

Towle's Old Colonial AKA Colonial, introduced in 1895, the paneled bowls are a distinction of the pattern. If the spoons are in the area of 4-1/2" long with the longer one around 8", then it's a hot chocolate set with chocolate spoons and a chocolate muddler.

WOW! This site is so cool. The spoons are about 5" and the larger on is 8 1/4". Thanks you Cheryl for the really fast response. Is the bowl correctly called a gold wash? What would the 1000 or 0001 mean?
Thanks again,
Dick
