a old german "Schöpfkelle" (ladle) with an engraving 1854
The stil of the ladle is called "Spaten".
Which town it is?

some other G marks
one from Weitz (with 70 as a mark for 700/1000 - was used in Breslau)
and Harmsen
could it be a late Glogau- townmark?

I can't say about the others, but I think Glogau is correct for the first post here; the jewelry, gold & silver firm of Emil Weitz was active there from at least the mid 19th century through the early 1900s.

In a catalogue I've just received, is »Weitz« script mark attributed, by a private collection from Offenbach, to Emil Weitz, Glogau.
Source: Catalogue »Silber aus Schlesien« (Time frame: 1871-1945), is recently published in Görlitz (ISBN 978-3-9813510-2-6); maker's mark register, page 114, Nr. 110.2.

Glogau - »Verkaufsgeschäfte« (retailer) 1903

Many »maker's mark« after 1850 - and especially later, when guilds were in decline - aren't "maker's" mark, but retailer’s name sign only.
As I know, Glogau guild was closed in 1861 = about 27 year in Glogau a kind of "freedom" until 1 January 1888.
Some were before »workshop« but became retailer; others were from start on solely retailer.
In 1903 were registered 6 »Verkaufsgeschäfte« (retailer) in Glogau:
Brendel, Kurt
Gemß, Otto
Harmsen, Louis
Sendler, Rud., Inh. Anna Sendler
Weisker, Hugo, Ecke Mühl- und Polnischestrasse.
Weitz, Emil, Inh. Willy Rothe, Preußischestrasse.
This is an excerpt from 1903 — 15 year after 1 January 1888.
»Weitz« new owner Willy Rothe is there mentioned to be a retailer.
It’s promised that end of this year would be published a retailer’s index from Silesia.
For Silesia in the time span before 1888 you must look to get »Hintze« - when additions would be published I don’t know yet.
