Possibly Asian silver ashtray

I'm new to the forum and looking for some help in identifying the origin of this well used silver ashtray, please. It was inherited from Dutch grandparents, and I know that my great-uncle worked in the Dutch East Indies from c.1909 to 1920, so it could conceivably have belonged to him at one time.
