EAMONSON, Benjamin (Grimwade p.333)

Post by MCB »

In 1770 duties were paid for his apprentice indentures by Henry Billinghurst (Grimwade p.441).
He entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1777 as a watch case maker from 21 Bull and Mouth Street.
He was assessed to Land Tax in 1777-8 on property in the Christ Church Precinct. No address is noted but may have been in respect of Bull and Mouth Street. He was also assessed to Land Tax on property in Pear Tree Street, St Luke’s parish in 1793 and on property in Seward Street in 1797.
He entered another maker’s mark in 1798 as a watch case maker from 9 Little Sutton Street.
Further Land Tax assessments were made on him in 1805-6 for property in Northampton Street, Clerkenwell, in 1809 at Brick Lane and in 1810 at Orchard Street.
No later information has been found for him.
