MINCE, Jeremiah Jonas (Grimwade p.291, 305)

He was christened the son of Jonah (Grimwade p.305, 340) and Sarah Mince at St Luke, Finsbury in 1784.
He entered maker’s marks at Goldsmiths Hall in 1805 and 1809 from his father’s address at 8 Norman Street and in 1809 in partnership with his brother Charles Mince (Grimwade p.291) at his brother’s address at 59 Banner Street.
The christening of Charles, son of Jeremiah Jonas and Ann Mince was recorded at St Giles, Cripplegate in 1814. Their address was noted as “St Luke’s”.
All records show Jeremiah as a case maker or watch case maker.
There is a reference on website to his death in 1820 at 59 Banner Street but this carries no detail of the source of the information and no confirming evidence has so far been found.
