Scottish Edinburgh Silver Maker Mark J.C.K.

Post by TheTroubleshooters »

I am trying to research a Scottish Maker Mark for a Edinburgh, Scotland Silversmith mark "J.C.K.", circa mid-1970's. If anyone can tell me who this was, I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

This is the hallmark of my uncle who is a silvermith based in Lerwick, Shetland. He was the art teacher at Anderson High School, Lerwick Shetland. His workshop is within is home and many of his pieces have a celtic or viking theme

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Presumablely we are talking about James Kerr. If you have any examples or drawings of your uncle's work we would be delighted to see them.
