The piece looks Asian the mark does not. I know it's old.

Not sure, but your mark looks similar to one used by C. Rietveld, Schoonhoven, The Netherlands.

Hi Chris,
Yes, I agree with Patrick, R 133 for Cornelis Rietveld. You could check for the date letter and assay office mark; the Minerva head should carry the letter M in its helmet, for Schoonhoven. The hallmarks are spread over the object and sometimes could be a little hidden.
